Safe Tech. Digital Addiction. Sextortion. AI and More

This is a critical, life-saving community conversation. Sextortion is escalating at alarming rates and devastating lives. Digital addiction is isolating youth and eroding real connections. AI is accelerating manipulation, impersonation, and exploitation. Mental health is suffering, and the cost is measured in lives. Awareness alone is no longer enough. This Town Hall is about action, accountability, and prevention.

Safe Tech Strong Minds is a Promise2Live initiative created to address one of the most urgent and overlooked crises of our time: the impact of technology on mental health, safety, and human connection.
Digital addiction, sextortion, AI driven manipulation, online scams, stalking, and exploitation are escalating at alarming rates. Constant exposure to devices, social platforms, and artificial intelligence is reshaping how our brains develop, how we relate to one another, and how vulnerable individuals are targeted. Lives are being affected and in some cases lost. These are conversations we can no longer avoid.
Safe Tech Strong Minds brings together experts, educators, parents, students, and business leaders to raise awareness, provide education, and offer practical tools to protect individuals and families while building healthier relationships with technology.
As part of this initiative, Promise2Live is hosting a Community Emergency Town Hall on Digital Dangers and Safe Tech, focused on digital addiction, sextortion, online threats, AI risks, and the mental health cost of an always connected world. We will also share actionable steps for prevention, protection, and recovery.
The evening will include insights into what constant technology exposure is doing to our brains, how digital addiction forms, why sextortion is increasing so rapidly, and what parents, schools, and businesses can do now.
We will also introduce Unplug and Hug, our monthly invitation on the 10th of each month to intentionally disconnect from devices and reconnect with people, reminding others they matter and inviting them to make the Promise2Live.
This is not about fear.
This is about awareness, action, and saving lives.
